Episode: Dipping into Psalm 23

Listen in as Melody and Abbey read Psalm 23 together. They discuss what is means and how it has been an encouragement to them when they have faced hard times, using 4 simple questions to help guide their time in the Bible together.

Host: Faith

Contributor: Melody & Abbey

Show Notes

The 4 questions used to guide Melody & Abbey’s discussion are:

What is the context of the passage? (where does it fit in the big picture of the Bible, do you know who wrote it and who its original audience was? etc.)

What are some of the ideas raised in the passage and what do you think might be the big idea of the passage?

How does this passage point us to Jesus?

How does this passage impact your head/heart/hands? (What is the application of the passage for what you know about God, what you believe, how you serve, etc.)

These questions can be used anytime you open the Bible to read it one-on -one with someone, or even alone. They help to guide the discussion, keep our Bible reading focused on Christ and help us to consider how what we are reading might change, challenge or encourage aspects of our lives.

Let us know what you think!
