OEC Women live in God’s good but complex world.
Men and women have some different needs and life circumstances, which is why our ministry amongst women exists, but we belong to one church, four gatherings and a range of small groups all seeking to make disciples of Jesus.
OEC Women gather weekly in small groups, called Growth Groups, to study the Bible together, to pray and encourage one another to depend on Jesus; we provide meals and other practical care when the need arises; we aim to speak the truth in love; to teach and train younger women and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
We have a few whole church women’s events each year and some tailored to smaller gatherings. We read books alongside our men and produce fortnightly podcast episodes developed by OEC Women to teach, train and encourage one another. We invite you to listen in!
Women’s Growth Groups
We have a range of Growth Groups that meet at different times throughout the week: some for women, some for men and women, and some that are family friendly.
On Monday and Thursday mornings we have CrossOver: opportunities for Women’s Growth Groups from different congregations, to meet in the OEC Ministry Centre during school terms. Play-Pals is at the same time, where young children have fun and grow in their love for Jesus.
Talk for 12
Talk for 12 is a podcast hosted by the women at Orange Evangelical Church. These 12-minute episodes teach from God’s Word and encourage and equip women in their daily walk with Jesus.
